 Know – Like – Trust. That’s the formula for the way people usually do business. First they have to know you exist, and basically what you do. That’s where a great internet presence can really help. You’re easy to find on line, your site contains video made by a professional corporate video production company, is exciting and informative, and you have free low-risk offers for them to get their email address.

Now they know about you. So you begin to communicate. That used to mean a phone conversation, but today it’s maybe an email. The best sales wins start as simple conversations. Answering questions, investigating what problem they have that you might be able to solve. You have a good understanding of their industry and they start to like you. Now you are at a critical crossroad. Do they trust you?

They do if they’ve signed up for your product or service. Cash changing hands is a clear signal that you have earned their trust. Now deliver on any promise you make in an extraordinary way and you have a client for life. Know, like, trust with video.

Video is important, but to consistently attract the right kind of business you have to have a clear understanding about your ‘best fit’ client. The way we do this is we look at our five best clients this year.  What do they have in common? Where are they located? What industry are they in? How many employees do they have? What’s there gross income? This will present a typical profile.

A real lead has six qualifiers: An identifiable problem, is attempting to solve that problem, will purchase a solution within six months, your contact is the decision maker, they are willing to meet or talk with you, and has a workable budget for your solution.
