The Recording Academy selects VideoNet of Malvern to record Independent’s Day Music Conference

Academy known for GRAMMY® Awards

MALVERN _ VideoNet, an award-winning company specializing in electronic media, was selected by The Recording Academy, Philadelphia Chapter, to record its Independent’s Day Music Conference.

The seminar included music and film industry leaders and focused on selling music in today’s changing industry. “This event host(ed) a collection of the best minds from the independent music and multimedia industries,” according to The Recording Academy.

“Being selected by The Recording Academy to memorialize the conference is quite an honor,” said Ronald C. Strobel, President of VideoNet. “Out of all the Philly based video production companies, this prestigious organization selected VideoNet.”

The seminar took place on July 12 at Drexel University’s Bossone Research Center in Philadelphia.

“Ron’s footage will become part of the archival material for The Recording Academy,” reported Paul Maderia of the national organization’s Hollywood, California, office.

Established in 1957, The Recording Academy is an organization of musicians, producers, engineers and recording professionals dedicated to improving the cultural condition and quality of life for music and its makers. The organization is internationally known for the GRAMMY® Awards.

VideoNet of Malvern produces video for Kendal Corporation’s Lewis fund

MALVERN _ VideoNet, an award-winning company specializing in electronic media, has produced a video to promote Kendal Corporation’s new Lloyd Lewis Fund.

“The Kendal Corporation is a national company that provides excellent care for seniors,” said Ronald C. Strobel, President of VideoNet. “The Lloyd Lewis Fund will provide resources to solve problems facing seniors. I’m honored that Kendal selected VideoNet for his important video.”

The seven-minute video announced the formation of the Lloyd Lewis Fund for Kendal Corporation. The purpose of this new fund is to support improvements in serving older adults through Kendal’s Promising Innovations campaign.  The new fund and thecampaign were initiated by the generous gift of $250,000 from the Janet Comey Foundation, a private foundation established through the estate of former Kendal at Longwood resident Janet Comey.

Lloyd, a friend of Janet Comey, is considered one of the several leading lights who pioneered efforts to improve the experience of aging. The Promising Innovationscampaign will carry on the legacy of innovative solutions which improve services for seniors.  Lewis was the founding CEO of the first Kendal community, established in 1973, which is now Kendal~Crosslands Communities.

Lewis received the Award of Honor from the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging in 1987 for his innovative work to improve the experience of aging Americans.  Along with other dedicated Kendal leaders, Lloyd was instrumental in making significant improvements in the field.
